About Me: My name is Eleanora Roberta Freeman . I am a botanical watercolorist and orchid aficionado. I grow
orchids, try to propagate them, and, of course, I paint them. I fell in love with these majestic children of nature at fist
sight. Ever since, I am captivated by the enchanting their beauty.
About my Art: I view my art as a creative process of partaking in the art of nature . Yes, Mother Nature is an artist
too! Being a botanical watercolorist, I belong to two intimately connected , yet separate worlds -- the world of
natural beauty and the world of botanical art. My aesthetic goal , therefore, is to find an equilibrium between natural
and created beauty, between the art of nature and the nature of art. I believe the watercolor technique I use not only
enables me to capture the beauty of blooming orchids in the most authentic way, but it also gives me complete freedom
of artistic expression.
